thicker Cable. gold plated and quality connections. North american power is fairly "dirty"...so the cleaner the signal can travel thru the cable and thru the connections is the either amplify the signal via...well, an amplifier or thicken the cable gauge....
its an option...

+1.

Older (smaller cables) can't handle the capacity. Also splitters need to be put together correctly. I found this out from shaw as when they split the load that some channels carry drops

Switch to Telus. You'll get whole home pvr for 3 tvs free. And they'll give you a free 42" tv on a 3 year term
