![]() I have been having a problem with a leaky bulkhead. I have a hole drilled on the side of my sump that feeds my reeflo Dart pump. I have a 2" bulkhead where the threads are on the water side of the sump. The gasket of the bulkhead is on the dry side and the nut tightens on the wet side. I know this is not ideal as the threads are supposed to be on the outside/dry side. My challenge is that I can't have the 2" pipe that feeds my pump go through the hole in the sump if I cement the pipe into the bulkhead the correct way.
I'm hoping someone may have a suggestion. |

![]() I was thinking of doing that. what if I siliconed around the outside on the dry side? Or would you remove the bulkhead, silicone the bulkhead where it meets the glass and tighten?

![]() Remove the bulkhead, silicone where it meets the glass then tighten. Just make sure it is very dry before you silicone.
