I will be doing some research on the HRV unit. I believe I should be able to make it work with the existing duct work, but I will have to bring someone in to take a look.

For the time being I will try the dehumidifier/direct exhaust first and if I can't keep my humidity down then I will need to go with a unit more appropriate.

Anyone have any suggestions for a good dehumidifier? (minimum 70 pints), that is energy efficient and dependable (I would imagine it will be running more often the not).

Thanks guys/gals
You should look at an hrv rather than a dehumidifier as they do cost a fair bit more to run than the hrv. I have tried the dehumid route and I'm going hrv as it will pay for itself quicker. Nice build by the way

Loudest part of my system would be the nagging sound I hear on a regular basis about how much time and money I spend on the tank.

What do you guys recommend I put on the floor between my 180 (steel stand) and the laminate wood?

I have the dri-core sub floor underneath

Thanks

Basement is looking amazing! 2 tanks at once = either stupid or brilliant

On a side note, is that where your projector is staying? Seems really low.

This system took a lot of planing. Why would you think two tanks would be stupid???

Projector will be raised up, I just haven't got around to it yet.

Stupid might have been a little strong. Thats just alot of tanks to be setting up at the same time. But I guess its all one big system anyway.

Go big or go home.
