![]() I use to run Vision Electronic stores way back when. I won't be touching them, all this 3D stuff in tv's and movies. Come on, why not try to create better shows, where you don't need gimmicks.
I think I am getting old, next I will want the music turned down. ![]()

![]() yah, thats the problem, I think there is going to be 3 3d-blu-rays before the end of the year... so there really is no advantage to being an early adopter. Even Avatar isn't coming out until next year (in 3D)

![]() Futureshop has Under the Sea 3D from IMAX. Now THAT would be cool to watch. Anyone who has been two an IMAX 3D movie will tell you how wild this technology is. There are only a couple of titles available right now but you know it's going to take off like crazy.

![]() Personally, i would wait a few years for the content to catch up and the technology to become cheaper and for them to work out all the bugs. But I have a fairly new HD LCD TV. If I were in the market for something and the price premium wasn't a big deal then maybe I would consider it as you will probably want to keep it for more than 2 to 3 years before buying another TV.

![]() Until all 3D programming/movies is at the quality of what Avatar was in theatres, I won't even consider it. It's such a gimmick at this point I'm hesitant to even think of the value of the potential for 3D. It's sometimes cool to watch in theaters, but a lot of times it's the rare effect added after production to get the "wow" out.
In retrospect, even watching it with Avatar wasn't that engrossing. Sure it was interesting and new, but honestly I go to the theatre for that experience. Just my $0.02. |

![]() They look neat, but I don't think I'll be shelling out that kind of dough for them. We've watched a couple of old style 3d with the red/blue glasses and I found that even on a decent sized 40" screen there just wasn't enough viewing area to do the effect justice. I also just don't like wearing the glasses
If they become mainstream and the price comes down to believable levels then I'll consider them. But until then I'm happy with plain old high def! |
