Completely agree.

The BRS filter is fine. You can just get an RO/DI unit. That is what most people around here use.

Don't spend more than $200-$250 on a filter.

They'll eat a night and eat scraps. I've had the ones in my tank for a few years and thought that when the aptasia were gone they were going to perish. But I see them come out at night.

I have a par 38 LED floodlight that is 5300k from Home Depot. I just use an aluminum clamp light fixture for it.

Works fine.

I have mine switches wired to a breakout box on my Apex controller. I also put a dab of silicone where the wires entered the body of the switch. 3 years later. No problem.

I'm assuming a grounding probe would have allowed the GFCI to trip. The Maxijet is only a 2 prong device so maybe a ground probe would have helped here.

I had thought my skimmer was creating some stray voltage but it was an MJ -1200 that I used in my sump.

The Maxi-Jet showed 32V when it was plugged in.

Vertex IN 180 vs Cadlights TIA-1150

My Vertex IN-180 pump is dumping a bunch of stray voltage into the tank. It is probably about 3 years old. It may be older as I bought it used.

So my choices are to buy a new pump and impeller...

I've done this many times with my BRD orders under $300 and have never paid duty. (Even though I don't mind.

Just as stated above, just have all of your receipts and paperwork and you'll be fine....
