![]() Hi all, I have a Coral Beauty in my 40 gallon and it is being really aggressive towards my poor Firefish. Does anyone have any ideas for calming it down? Or should I just try to find it a new home?

![]() i've got one in my 60 and it was really aggresive toward my yellow tang when I added the tang, but it seemed to have calmed down on it's own after a couple days. Did you just add the firefish? I had a firefish in my tank already before the angel and it never seemed to bother him, just the tang because it was a newcomer

![]() Pm me if you want to sell her to a new home. Angles can be bossy. It's what they do.

I would not. I would probably moan and complain, read three words and swear once or twice. But since you made it this far, please rate my builds. ![]() |

![]() Coral beauty can be territorial. It's unfortunate that the CB is picking at the firefish and it doesn't help the firefish is a slow swimmer. Does the CB cause any damage to the firefish(damage fins, wound, etc)? Does it look like the CB is just trying to establish territory or it's trying to kill the fire fish (chasing it relentless or chasing it half way of the tank, any biting). Does the fire fish still come out to feed or hiding most of the time?
If the CB is just trying to establish territory than I will leave it there. But it's trying to kill the fire fish than there is no magic trick but remove one or the other. GL. |
