Reflo Dart Seal

So I'm in the process of replacing the seals in my reflo dart. Step two of the instructions say to apply sealant to the bracket bore ID wall and around the seal case using a non-hardening Silicon material. NEVER USE PETROLEUM SEALANT.

My question is, what kind of non-hardening Silicon material should I use?

check the instructions that came with the seal, some use a special rubber that does not require lubricant

nothing in the instructions that make recommendations as to what to use. I was thinking the liquid form of teflon tape but not sure.

When I think of "non-hardening Silicon material" that seals,I think of the silicone aquarium sealant that we all use to seal the corner beads of our aquariums.
It is non hardening, ie stays flexible.
Anything that stays liquid would eventually be pushed out by the pressure in the pump IMHO

when i have done my reeflow seals I use reef safe silicone and let cure overnight.

Reef safe silicone has been my go to on reeflo pumps and I've used them for almost 10 years now.
