![]() when setting up a new tank does it make a difference where i put the live rock vs the dry rock. what I mean is, do i need to put the live rock closer to the sand to help seed it or can it be anywhere in the tank? I am mixing about 50 lbs of each so I am curious if it matters.
I have a fairly deep tank (30") so i am trying to get the reef fairly high so I can place light sensitive corals to the top of the reef |

![]() I don't think it will matter much if you aquascape such that the maximum rock surface is exposed to the water without much deadspot

![]() I am by no means an expert on this but I believe as Mrhasan stated that as long as you maximize rock surface and if your not gluing rocks together that you make sure they are stable and not easily moved.
