Help, scotch guarding couch with tank in same room

Has anyone ever had to have their sofa scotch guarded with their aquarium in the same room? I'm supposed to have my couch scotch guarded tomorrow but now I'm debating weather or not to do so since my aquarium is in the same room directly in front of couch.
