Default calcium reactor users.

Couple questions.
How long do you keep your reactor media? Do you keep adding new to the existing or do you remove the old when you get the new?

If you remove the old what do you think about adding this to the sump for added sand bed volume. Just a thought.

I top mine up probably twice, then I throw it out. It turns to mush after a while and isn't good for much, IMO.

That's what I thought. I do the same as you, I just hate throwing something out that may be useful.
