Default Skimmer micro bubbles

hey guys i have a coralife super skimmer (don't hate me) its a hob(don't have a sump) lately its been producing a lot of micro bubbles
i recently cleaned it with warm water to flush out the salt from the pipes and motor
do you think i broke something
i understand that adding trace elements or any form of water nutrient may cause it to get over excited, but the thing is i have done no such thing
i was thinking of getting a filter sock but they are too big for the return pipe

is there anyone else who has had a problem like this and managed to fix this

i have gone through the forums and havent been able to find any answers or a similar thread

aprreciate any info

thanks

same same
the only thing that stops the micro bubbles is having the sponge box nearly totally out of the water. Super frustrating piece of plastic, i'm upgrading ASAP.
