Bought the 900 and it was too strong so I replaced my main pump with it.
still need a powerhead for my biocube

Aysha,

I would recommend getting yourself the MJ-1200 as your main pump. The Oceanic pump was about 280 gph, you will need at least that if not more for more flow. This is the pump that draws water through your filtration.

If you were looking for more circulation inside the tank, I'd STRONGLY recommend the MP-10 ES, if you had some extra $$.

It's well worth the money, lots of flow that is controllable, and it free's up a ton of room inside the tank.

my oceanic pump was kinda funny. I'm still learning so I'm starting small
I tried running both the oceanic and the 900 at the same time...hilarity ensued.
