Wanted - DIY Solution for Nano Reef Skimmer Impeller

My impeller for the pumps that came with this skimmer needs replacing.

$23 per impeller is a bit steep. Anyone know where to get this "diamond mesh" material from? Alternatively another material that will generate the bubbles?
