Default Steve'o Tank Journal

Well might as well join the crowd and start my Journal of my tank build.
I have a 28 Gal Nano and caught the Saltwater bug a few months ago but wanted to get a bigger tank and take my time and do it properly.
As I rushed into my 28G way too fast. and had problems.
I bought a used system from Kijiji that included tones of stuff.
90 Gal Tank
Great looking stand.. all smoked glass doors on 3 sides
Sump with bio-balls
return pump
Red Sea Skimmer
Huge box of extras.. too much to name..

Here is a few pics of when i got it home
Inlet and drain lines

Sump with existing plumbing

So my first step.. was to get rid of the bio-balls and chuck all the plumbing.
I also have painted the back of the tank black cleaned it all out and placed some egg crate on the bottom of the tank.
pics coming
Steve

Default Update

Well all of my plumbing is now done. Got some great looking dry rock from CaCo3Reef, Thanks Eli.
Just tying some arrangements of the rock to see what looks the best.
before adding in water and sand.
So here is a question
My return pump is rated for 900 Gal /hr..
Will I need more flow in my tank.. If so what powerheads shoud I get?
what size??

thanks,
Steve'o
