Default The perfect FOWLR

I am thinking of setting up a decent sized FOWLR for large Angels and Butterflies mainly. Keeping this in mind, what do you think would be the perfect 6' or 8' tank with max width of 20"? I'm thinking 96x20x28" or 72x18x24". Obviously the 6' tank would be much cheaper since it is a standard size, but I would have to be careful about selecting the smaller large Angels if I chose a smaller tank. I don't have my heart set on any of the huge Angels like the Queen though, so that could be my saving grace!

Curious how this one turns out. I have a 90Gal and a 125Gal and im trying to decide which way to go with each. I love the Emperor but well thats still out of my grasps so Ill watch how you go as I like the idea of an angel butterfly tank as well.

IMO Butterflies would be ok in a 6 footer. With Angels I think the larger the better: as you know they're aggressive buggers. Providing more space and lots of retreats would definitely help. You should talk to Dave (MrFish55) he keeps lots of Angels and other larger fish in his 750g FOWLR.

Hehehe, bigger is always better for FOWLRs, but hey I have limitations! I don't even want a big tank, I just want the Angels, and well...they need a big tank.

I have to decide on a size, then I have to decide whether I want that size tank for sure.

I think you have too many tanks already, even the fish are getting sick of it Haha, just kidding, but seriously too many.

Which ones do you plan to put in a 90? Not many stay small enough...? Maybe dwarf Angels?
