![]() I got a BTA yesterday and when I poke up this morning he was half into an AC30 intake. Now he didnt even come close to the impeller and the AC30 was turned down to 1/3 power. Right now he is pretty shriveled up and his mouth is wide open. Whats the chances for this guy? I am really hoping he will make is as he is 1980's hot pink in colour and it would contrast great with my black clowns.
Any help you can give would be appreciated. I have had a few anemones but none of them ever did this. Thanks Ryan

![]() Don't worry Ryan it will most likely survive assuming ur conditions r good for anenomes. Sometimes they wonder when they're not happy just might be an indication of something not right in ur tank. But it sounds like a new bta syndrome with it looking for suitable place to host.
Put it somewhere with lower flow for the time being and let it recuperate. Its happened a few times to me before and they've always lived. Good luck

![]() Thanks Chin. I am not sure if conditions are good. Its a stable tank full of SPS. No ammonia, nitrite, or nitrate. I run Zeovit and Vodka so the water is definatly clean.
Hopefully he comes back.

![]() This guy was a split from a buddy of mine. The mother colony was the same way. I am hoping it doesnt go red but you might be right. These arent mine but this is a mirror image of what it looks like.
![]() And when its not inflated its like this ![]() Think its bleached/bleaching? Reefwars, I checked on him and his mouth is still open but not near as bad as earlier this morning. The side that wasnt in the AC30 is starting to inflate again so maybe there is a little hope.

![]() Now, although a hot pink BTA sounds rad, I would be cautious with it as sometimes "hot pink" BTA could mean that it is a stressed out Red Bubble Tip anemone that has lost a lot of its colour. That is, it is bleaching out and/or is simply sick. Keep an eye on him, make sure he is eating and not getting paler.
