![]() I have flat worms in one of my tanks and I would love to get a small fish to help with this problem. the LFS has a blue sided wrasse, 4 bar wrasse and christmas wrasse. Anybody have experience with any of these?? I tried to look them up on the web and I get several different looking wrasses with the same names. Is there a good website for IDing fish?
on a side note.... I have heard that Long Nose Hawkfish eat flatworms. is this true?? |

![]() Gord, it's rare to actually get a fish to eat flatworms. And the flatworms are toxic. Maybe look into Flatworm Exit by Salifert.

![]() Hey Gord,
As you know I am by no means an expert, as I am just now researching reef aquariums for future construction. I have however done some research into flatworms and here are a couple of links reguarding them. Maybe you may find something useful to combat the little pests. http://www.animalnetwork.com/fish2/aqfm/1998/sep/wb/ http://www.wetwebmedia.com/flatwrmfaq2.htm |

![]() There is a positive correlation between the popularity of a fish and the number of common names it will have. It seems that fish stores sometimes just draw names out of a hat when trying to identify a fish. For these reasons, I would try to get a latin name for any fish you want to find out about. Generally, using a latin name will yield better results in a search engine. You can also use http://www.fishbase.org to find out the basics. http://www.wetwebmedia.com has a fairly large section on marine fish and it's another good place to start.
