Question about dosing

I start mixing Kalkwasser (without reactor or controller) for topping up. How slow shall I add the water to the tank? I am planning to use a turkey baster. Any suggestion? Thank you in advance.

You need to do a wack of testing to figure out how much YOUR tank needs.

I have a 90G + sump - live rock. I guess there is still roughly around 80-90G of water. My alk is at 7 dkh, and would like to bring that up to 8+. Cal is at 400ppm. I do not have test kit for Mag.

Kalk is not a good way to raise your levels. It is best suited as a drip to MAINTAIN your levels. Use baking soda to raise your alk and something like Dowflake for your Cal. This calculator will tell you how much of each you need.

Where are you finding Dowflake? Or Magflake

Thank you very much for your information. Talking about baking soda, the one that normally can purchase in superstore? the one that using cleaning filter socks? Just want to make sure I am going to use the right product. Cheers.

Arm and Hammer Baking Soda. Superstore sells the BIG 2kg box. Most other places only sell the small 500g boxes.
