Default Algae starting

I'm starting to get a scum like film on the top of the water in the tank. Its a 90 gal. I have a Flu 404 filter (new two weeks ago) skimmer and a power head at the top of tank to move water. I just transfered to a smaller tank so I hear that this is common to happen. How can I prevent this from going farther. water change? Reading past posts lighting seems to come into effect. Any ideas or suggestions greatly appreciated
Thanks three dawgs

Greater surface agitation. Nothing to do with lighting.
