![]() apparently koralias won't work on a timer. they tend to not fire back up after they are shut on and off repetedly

![]() I actually had a JBJ 28G tank which came with one of these... i tried the Koralias with it, and yes it did work. However they are not meant to be used as wavemaker powerheads, therefore quite noisy... they would clank when starting each time.
A trick I did was putting a piece of airline tubing on the metal shaft (where the prop goes on) at the end between the shaft and the outside/top housing of the powerhead. This did make them quite. Please note that these powerheads are not meant to be turned off/on repeatedly, so if you do this trick, you will most likely burn them out fast.
