![]() A heads up in case you're not familiar, but this species has a poor survival rate in captive systems. Many starve to death because they won't take prepared food. Furthermore, they can be hit and miss with respect to aiptaisia. I'm speaking from personal experience since I've already made this error and had to watch a magnificent specimen starve in my tank. IMO these fish should stay in the ocean.

![]() 5-6 years ago I bought a Copperband to get rid of my Aptasia. It didn't eat any bit of it, but shortly became my favorit fish. It was used by LFS to eat only brine shrimps and I could not change his eating habits. I successfully kept him with brine shrimps soaked in Selcon and vitamins for almost 6 years, without being sick at all. It was in very good shape and fat. I got rid of my aptasia (a lot) with Joe's Juice and i did not have since.

![]() Copper bands are one of the toughest fish to keep, imo. I bought one 8yrs ago and he did fine for about 4-5 yrs, every other one I have ever gotten has packed in in very quickly, and none of them ever ate aptasia. Hope you get lucky but I think the mortality rate is about 90%.

![]() I've tried all the store bought aiptasia killers and the only one that worked for me , with limited success was the aiptasia-X, but what works even better is lemon juice and a syringe, just inject them with lemon juice and they don't come back
