![]() I bought an Octopus BH100 skimmer but I am having some issues setting it up... it produces large bubbles into the reaction chamber not fine ones which means no foam. Curious as to why a skimmer would do this? is there not enough airflow? too much?
Also it seems like the pump kind of chugs the air into the reaction chamber instead of a steady flow. I am pretty sure the pump is primed right I cut off the air until there were no bubbles going into the reaction chamber then opened it up. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ken |

![]() Well I feel like a dolt... I am adding salt to the water gradually so the SG is very very low which means the protien skimmer cant work. It needs the higher surface tension in saltwater to produce the small bubbles. Learn something new everyday.
Big props to CoralVue customer support though recieved an email back within an hour gently explaining that I am a moron ![]() Thanks, Ken |
