![]() Ok, so I've had my new tank set up since May, and I still can't get my water crystal clear. I see so many pictures on here and the water is pristine. Mine isn't so much cloudy as it has little particles always floating through it. I have foam filter the water before it reaches the sump water. I'm skimming, and have some rock and cheato in the sump as well.
I don't what I'm doing wrong, or not doing at all. Any help from you pros?

![]() Some more info on your system would help.
Size tank? Type of skimmer? How much Flow? RO or Tap Water? What do you have for fish/corals? |

![]() Those particles might just be microbubbles coming from your skimmer or air getting into your return line? I had this happen with my skimmer a few weeks ago. Fixed it by wrapping an open ended sock around my skimmers outlet.
I get particles in the water column whenever my goby decides to dig a new home, which is like once a week ![]() powerheads could be kicking up excess detritus that's collecting somewhere? Do you have large fish? When they poop it is messy! |
