Overdriving an Iwasaki bulb

Interesting thread, anybody care to try it with a 250 watt IWasaki on a 250 watt HQI ballast(M80 I think).

I have an old Iwasaki 400 watt bulb that I will test on my 400 watt HQI tonight.

Very interesting thread. I was just looking at that myself. I'd be interested in seeing some tests. I run the 250w Iwasaki.

I fired up two 400 watt Iwasaki's side by side. One using a Sona Agro 430 watt HPS ballast(Commonly referred as a HQI) and a regular M59 ballast. I could see very little difference in brightness and whitness between the two. The Iwasaki on the Son AGro side might have been a tad brighter, but that's about it.

I will try and post some pics on the weekend.
