![]() Hi guys,
I am thinking about upgrading my deltec MCE600 pump, the aquabee 2000 pin wheel with deltec venturi. The reason for it is, it creates small popping noises and my tank is in my room and lets just say it gets annoying at times. the noise isnt really that loud when used with the MCE600 but i am not sure about other applications where it might be used. I'll be upgrading to the aquabee2000/1 so i'll let this guy go for $100 and its 2 years old, the pump new is $300. I will also ship at the buyers expense. ![]() ![]() ![]() Eugene Last edited by imisky; 05-16-2009 at 09:35 AM. |

![]() FWIW - my Deltec has the pump imisky is upgrading to (the pump he is selling is basically the same, I think the impeller is just slightly different, or the size of coils) and it is an impressive little unit. Cant believe how much it pushes, and really low watts! I think they only use 20w.

![]() the 2000 and 2000/1 are the same pump, the difference is the impeller and the max head height it can get to. the impeller got changed to a single piece impeller (impeller + shaft are 1 piece) while the old one (2000) are 2 seperate pieces. the AB2000 has a 1.6m head height and uses 18W i believe. the AB2000/1 has a 3.0m head height and uses 18W as well, i dont know what they changed for the head height increase.
The deltec PW version draws less watts too i believe around 12W instead of 18W which is a plus! |

![]() Thats some pretty good horsepower outta the aquabee then, considering a 20W maxi-jet 1200 only does about 3.5ft (1.1 ish meters) head.

![]() the aquabee will be bought from the deltec distributor in canada. I was contacting them regarding tunze replacement parts and a new impeller and shaft for my AB2000 when i decided, why not just get a new one. I dont know if that is the cause of the slight popping noise (as i cant see any ware on the AB2000 impeller), but i thought it would give it a try until i just decided to buy a new one. none the less the pump still performs great for my MCE600 even with the slight pop so i dont know whats causing it.
Still available, if anyone is interested the pump will be available after i recieve my AB2000/1 Last edited by imisky; 04-29-2009 at 04:41 PM. |

![]() ive check that, the swinging flap is easily move-able and it is supposed to as the pump works, DD solutions said that to me and the AB2000 is doing just that, the flap isnt stuck
