Default Fs: Calcium Chloride

I just bought some Calcium Chloride from the store and to save abit I had to buy alot anyhow just seeing if any of the Instant Ocean users in the lower mainland that are intrested. As we all know IO is low in Ca so you can mix this calcium into you RO top off and Water change's to boost Ca to natural levels.

Price will be $4 per lb if you buy more than 5lbs it will be $3 per lb.

And I'm not intrested in shipping at the moment, just open to locals thanks.

Default Calcium chloride

I'll trade you lb for lb for Magnesium Chloride if you are interested. I have a lifetime supply!

Let me know if you want some.

Pat

need the Mg as IO is low in that as well, and hard to balance the Ca if the Mg is low.

thanks Pat, however if you would've told me a week ago before I bought 1 litre of Mg I would've totally been all for it.

+1

if you just add the calcium to IO salt water you will likely just end up w/ precip, and never get your calcium 400+ ppm.

Add 180-200 ppm of magnesium, then you can easily add 50-80 ppm of calcium to IO.

Probably doesn't really matter.

How many gallons do you have to bring up how many ppm magnesium?

You might be surprised at how quickly that liquid magnesium goes.
