Default Rocky sand

Hey guys,

The substrate that I am using is "arag" something, I can't remember because I threw the bag out. Anyways, it is fine sand mixed with chunks of coral and rock. It seems the big chunks of rocks and such settle at the surface, while the fine sand is at the bottom. This makes the sand look dirty as they have now become darker in color. Is there any way to ensure the big chunks aren't on top rather than scooping them out of the tank with a net?

You could try using a sieve to sift out the larger pieces...just be careful about mucking with too much of your sendbed at once, especially if it's well established

You could get some animals to stir your sand.
