just wondering if enyone has used one before. looking for pro's and con's before i use one .

Wardley's "the sandman"? Garbage - PITA to start, loses it's siphon every once in a while and you have to go thru it all over again. But that's the only type I've used, maybe others are better. (It's just a little guy)

Default Sand filter

According to anthony calfo you can just fill a bucket with sand(fine granulate) And run water just over the surface , leaving the lid on the bucket to keep it dark, and this will absorb nitrates. I havent used one before. But i'm gonna try it sooner or later!!
