Default lighting issue

in my 20gal tall i recently went back to my 65watt from my 130watt which i upgraded to about a month ago.

i noticed that it was to much light for my mushrooms and they weren't fully extended. than my hammer coral went transperant. really the only coral that enjoyed it was the zoo's. my GSP also curreled up at the tips. this is on my 20H btw.

jdigital was saying something about to much of a difference in one go and maybe i should have went 4-6-8-9 hours each day.

what do you guys do when you upgrade your lighting?

If possible hang the lights higher than they would normally set and lower them a little every week until theyare where you want them. Reduced hours may work, but a certain amount of light period is needed for photosynthesis IMO
