I sooo totally agree with Justin but wasn't going to say anything unless you asked for an opinion on the skimmer...they're really not very good...they work "alright" on my 10g nano...but "alright" is with not much bioload and being prepared for them to overflow when they feel like it or lose their suction or .... the list goes on...in my opinion you should go with your other choices like the Remora or so...bit noisy but a better skimmer!

I have had great success with this skimmer.
Both in a 36 gallon and in a 20 gallon.
Once you have them adjusted, they work very well FOR THE PRICE.
I would happily use one of these on anything under 35 gallons and have used them for years.
not a Euroreef by any means, but it's not meant to be.

My 2 cents.
Cheers.

I tend to agree with Whatigot that these skimmers are alright. We had one on our 28 gallon aquarium for over a year, and though it tended to be a bit finicky sometimes it worked excellent and did not leak or anything.

I actually still have this skimmer as I upgraded to a Remora. I am in Alberta, though, and I imagine that with shipping costs it would not be worth it.

I think you didn't get very many responses because most of us love tanks too much to submit another reefer to the pain that this skimmer puts people through. I have one...no surface attachement though. Spent 2 years trying to dial it in...never could...even the local LFS gave up.

people hate prizms and pc's(power compact fluorescents) it seems...lol
I have had great experiences with both of them though if you're looking to spend as much money as you can; they are not for you.

My 36 was STOCKED, I had a really heavy bioload and I was emptying my prizm at least once every 2 days of some thick, nasty blck brown stuff.
sometimes it was so thick I had to scrape it off with a knife to empty it.

to me, thats a good skimmer.
