Default Flow though zeovit

Hey Albert,

Just checking to make sure I am getting this right. The manual for the Zeovit system says to have max of 100 gallons per hour for each liter of rocks used. Since I am using 1/3 of a liter I have to keep my flow down to less than 33 gallons per hour.

Ted.

OK, thanks.

Shaking my phosban reactor is going to get old quick. What is the smallest zeo reactor I can get that is self contained - ie not needing a sump?

There isn't one on the market ATM. I'll ask around and see if anyone's working on one.

Or, what is the smallest one that you carry that is for in sump, and cost. I am looking at putting in a small sump.

Remember, when you start using Zeo you need to lower your flow to a 1/3 or run it @ 3 hours on 3 hours off.

My flow is constant at around 25 gallons. It that OK or do I need to turn it down more due to constant flow.

I am really not giving it a good shake right now because I need more hose length and I am going to get leaks in poor hose conections.

Putting a different reacor in a sump and using a form of internal agitation would be much better. In that case a DYI reactor would be more feasable.

Default DIY Zeo reactor

I have yet to find any details on how to make one self contained. I have seen a couple of them but can't figure on how they have the agitation handle work and sealed so there are no leaks.

You shouldn't need to have the handle seal if the drain at the top of the reactor is lower than the top of the reactor...well, assuming the drain hole doesn't plug up...
