![]() I'm going to purchase one of these systems and I was wondering, can I get away with just a RO unit in Calgary or do I need the additional DI?

![]() the DI takes the last of the crap out of the water like ALk which is good if you have a high ALk and gives you a piece of mind when all the crap is taken out of the water

![]() agreed. the piece of mind doesn't cost much. I like the fact my TDS meter reads 0 tds
![]() Oh if you get a RO/DI system, add on a tds meter. if I didn't have my TDS meter I wouldn't have known my RO/DI wasn't set up properly the first time. Very good thing to have. handheld ones are fine since I only need to check it every 6 months anyways.

![]() Sorry I am asking question instead of giving some inputs.
I use Kent Marine RO/DI and I am wandering what others do with the waste...because it lot amount of water compare to the clean water for the tank. And do you empty the canisters after you use the ro/di ? thanks

![]() the waste is acctually just tap water run through the sediment filters. So, can be used for drinking etc.
