Lights in sump?
hello
I read about lights for your sump. This is news to me can someone explain the benifits. Thanks

I have just added some live rock should the light be bright enough to benifit it? I get the brighter thing!

if there's nothing that's photosynthetic then you don't really need a light. live rock for instance doesn't need light, macro does. refugium and sump are sometimes terms that are used interchangably...sump's are mostly just a place to exchange water, keep skimmers, probes, auto top off's etc. refugiums have macro, live rock, critters, low light corals...whatever you want. it's a place where no peretitors can eat copepods, hence the name reufug-ium.

your better off having a propperly light refugium and leaving your sump for your equipment.Your refugium can then be over- flowed to your main
system then.Otherwise you will be having a skimmer and main pump in your fuge.Not good IMO
