Help Request - Unknown Hitchhiker

I'm new to the hobby and have been learning lots from this site ... thanks to all who have posted the great info.

I have a question and I hope this is the right place to post.

Any ideas on what the white creature is in the picture? It is about the size of a dime. Came on a piece of LR I picked up at Big Als earlier this week.

Could be a leather. Its hard to tell from its size.

Looks like a Mojano anemone.

Definitely a Mojano. I'd get rid of it ASAP before it spreads.

There are a few ways you can go to be rid of this pest. You can inject it with kalk paste. You can inject it with boiling water. You can get some Joe's Juice from your LFS. You can boil the rock which is kinda radical if you only have one. Or, you can get out the blow torch and be done with it. I'm sure there are a few other options like putting the rock in the garbage but I like the blow torch best.....

No matter which method you chose, chose one. This is a pest that takes the fun out of the hobby for a lot of people.

dude i have one of thoes too! no need to worry its just an anemone. dosent get big at all.

Did some reading and this type of anemone will spread, comepletely taking over your tank..."it's called a pest"
