![]() Does anyone know if featherduster plumes will grow back? Apparently someone in my tank got a little hungry or so it seams. The worm itself seems to be OK for now but will the feathers grow back or will he starve to death first?

![]() I had a feather duster loose it's 'head' for some reason. It grew back and he is fine now but it did take several weeks.

![]() Captive feather dusters frequently lose their feathered crowns because of stress and malnourishment. Unless you have a mature reef and you feed your fish often, you will need to feed the feather dusters phytoplankton and possibly rotifers - basically food for filter feeders.
The feathers will eventually grow back, but usually not the same size and color as its original. Last edited by Rippin; 07-21-2007 at 02:51 AM. |
