Default Temp - From one extreme to the other

So - I'd been fighting with tank temps even on COOL days. Was very frustrating.

Well, fancy that I'd buy a window fan to help keep the room a little less, well, sauna-like and my temp has dropped down over the last few days to, oh, 75!

Argh - I've got a decent heater in there, but obviously it's not able to keep up with a room in the high 60's..

I've seen a lot of info on what's an acceptable temp, and I'm thinkint this is a smidge too low. I'd prefer 78, and I'm trying to get my heater working a bit more (it was previously set at 73, oy!) - anyone have a temp close to 76/77?

imo overheating is much more of a problem than being a few degrees too cool. In my tanks, i shoot for 78*F. 75*F isnt so bad short term. maybe it's time for a new heater?
