Im getting a yellow tangs and wonder if i should be worried about some things i have in the tank thanks

If you find a yellow tang that eats star polyps send him to me I'll give him a good home
Seriously, yellow tangs are mostly vegetarians and while they have been known to occasionally pick on corals, it's far more likely for an angel to pick then it is for a tang |

Hopefully the tang with clean up the green algae i have growing.

It will depend on the type of green algae that you have growing. If it's the hairy stuff, I doubt it will. If it's the macro stuff, there's a good chance that it will.
