Default how to clean a dead coral?

I had my large birdsnest coral die due to an unfortunate breaker trip, and now that its dead I want to clean it an put it on a shelf ( even dead its still beautiful ) Does anyone know how the stores get the decorative corals so white ?

Bleach, I'm guessing.

And really sorry to hear that your coral died But I'm wondering...is there no chance you could see some growth in weeks or months/etc.? I know some people believe their coral is completely dead, only to be surprised by growth months later.
