OmG I been keeping a watch out for one of those locally for years now, after I seen one in Vancouver. IMO, its the most colorful puffer.
In Vancouver a few years back, a mapp puffer was almost $300 bucks! Say if you dont mind me asking... How much did you pay for him?

O.k, so $225.00 isn't cheap (sorry have my connections), but its not a common fish AND if it makes you feel better, it is the best price I have ever seen on this fish. J& L's was selling theirs for $ 299.99 bucks, then there is tax. Not to mention, if your lucky to stumble upon this fish in a store because it usually is a special order that rarely comes in. Also to since it is so rare, you dont have a choice of size, which is usually big. So you got a good deal and a beautiful fish!
Just looking at the pictures of your map puffy. He is soOOo adorable! If you ever want to sell this guy, please let me know, I will drive down & buy him from you and will give you what you paid for him! *smiles* Thanks for sharing your pictures. Keep the pictures coming. Once he gets settled, I am curious of on his personality and if he shows any aggression ever while feeding? If he hides when he sleeps like other puffers? And what tankmates your gonna keep with him? thanks a bunch, Lee
