Default Moving back home

Well after being away for over 10 years,I've decided I miss the ocean and will be moving back to Nova Scotia to the town of Lunenburg.I figure we will take advantage of the military with my retirement move. The only bad thing is I have to leave my fish behind
I will be restarting a larger tank as well as my frag tanks once we get settled,so you will still be hearing from me.Once I find out a date for the move,I'll have stuff to get rid of soI'll keep you all posted.

Jim,

Sorry to hear about such an active member of Edmonton's reefing community leaving Like Dorothy once said, "There's no place like home!", I believe it, especially when it home is in Nova Scotia I can taste lobster right off the boat as I type

Does this mean you're retiring from the military? If so, may I ask what you're going to do for a living once you get back home?

I've been done since end of March. For the next 2 years I will be getting 75% of my last years wages and then it gets cut down to just my medical and military pension,so its not too bad.Krisdeann and I want to do something as a home business that involves some our interests such as furniture restoration, wall murals, leather clothing, and wood working. For the time being she will be working at the local hospital and I'll set up a larger frag system to keep me occupied.Lunenburg is a small village with lots of local craft shops and antique shops as well as bed and breakfasts,so it will be nice to have peace an quiet for a change. The house is 2 minutes from the ocean.

I'm envious. Lunenburg is gorgeous.

Have a few sociables for the rest of us displaced bluenosers.

Good luck with the move Jim. Maybe the mod's can setup a Maritime board for you. Any idea what the prices are like out east for livestock?

I moved back to the Maritimes after leaving overseas for a number of years. Nice environment, small cities, great outdoors and a huge ocean to play in.
