Default Macro FISH shots

All right you guys... here's a couple pics for Ruth to look at seeing as how we have the same cameras... Macro shots of corals are pretty easy to set up and get... now let's see who's got steady hands chasing a fish around a tank! These are NOT cropped BTW... lets see some SCALES people!

Very cool indeed. What settings do you have your camera on? I have just ordered a new wide angle lens for my camera. I decided to go with the EF-S 17-55mm f2.8 so hopefully I will like it as much as you like your wide angle.

Those are taken with a Canon 20D

Reeferadict, what lense are you using? An actual macro lense with 1:1 reproduction?

Any of you have any idea how hard it is to get a TANG to hold still? lol

Rory - those were taken with a cheap prime. 135mm Soft Focus and a macro extension tube.

Ruth - I've heard good things about that lens, let me know how yours is and I may have to trade my 17-85 in...

I'll keep you posted after I have recieved the lens. You didn't say what settings you had your camera on for those shots and I am curious to know. The green auto setting is pretty much the only one that I ever use and it is not ideal for specialized shots.

Sorry Ruth...

I was using a 135 2.8 and an extension tube, ISO 800, Aperature Priority (Av on the camera dial), f4, 1/80, and auto white balance. Here's a link to my photbucket gallery, and you can look at the EXIF data on any of those pics to see any of my other settings...
