Hey,

Thanks for the reminder. I do notice that very recently there are a lot of job postings. However, mostly are for senior or experienced positions only.

Hi,

For the most part, this is the bottom of the hitech recession...the question is when will it go back up. Companies know that...so that's why they are hiring selected people.

Titus,

Earning season again. Keep you eyes on the big players.

So far, computer hard and soft sector is down, but it is the slow time for these sectors at this time of the year (nobody buys computers during spring). Telecom is flat (overcapacity...still). Datacom is up 5%. (good) RF/wireless is flat to 5%...still waiting for 3G to pick up.

For the most part, we are out of the recession and next quarters growth is estimated to 5% to 15%. This past quarter growth was estimated to -5% to 10%.

Bad news is that it will take at least 2 to 3 more quarters before most companies break even (Christmas). BUT, most companies that had severe layoffs are very short staffed (hint, hint...like say PMC). So, even if they don't have job offers, you might want to try applying. Work experience really matters if you want to find a cool job. New grads are usually avoided for now.

Hope that helps.

- Victor.
