Default DYI venturi valve anyone?

I recently went to a LFS to checkout venturi valves. I had call and they said they had some for $21. When I got there they showed me one I could get for just $90. The $90 dollar one was threaded on both ends, while the $21 one had to be pushed on and clamped. I told him I would take the least expensive one,he gave it to me; as I wondered around the store checking out the fish I could not justify paying $21 dollars for an object that was obviously worth no more than $5. I returned it !! I will make my own. The $90 might be worth $6 at the most.

Anyone made there own venturi? They look very simple, any advice, hint ect....
DYI= do yourself in. In my opinion anyone who purchase the $90 venturi valve; did themselves in.
(unless you are rich of course)

Hi,

Yah, you can build your own with venturi with regular PVC plumbing. Check DIY@reefcentral.
