Default Door locks for aquarium stands and for TV stands.

First I just wanted to pass on, especially for people with kids, there is a kind of magnetic door lock you can install for the aquarium stand doors. They are called the "Tot Lok". The lock opens by holding a magnet outside the door. They are invisible from outside the stand. I installed these on 2 of my tanks and they are great for keeping kids away from the sump/electrical stuff etc.

Also I am trying to figure out how to lock a TV stand (double glass doors) to prevent small children from attacking my audio/video equipment. A simple latch won't work as my kids are too smart for that, a magnet lock is not a good idea around a TV, does anybody have suggestions?

That is not acceptable in my house.

We did try Velcro-ing them to the wall but they broke free.

I remember seeing a commercial on TV for super glue. The guy glued his hard hat to a big iron I beam. This should be strong enough to hold those pesky ankle biters to the walls.

As long as the magnets are far enough away from the TV, it shouldnt affect it. Place the latches at the furthest part of the doors. ie the bottom?

I thought once you had kids you were supposed to sell off all of your cool electonic toys and buy a mini van? Then install one of those in car DVD players so the kids can sing along to sponge bob square pants as you pull your hair out on long drives.
