Default Bubble in trouble maybe ?

Ive had this little guy for about two weeks now,for the first week everything seemed great ,but for the last week or so it keeps inflating and deflating thoughout the day ,most of the bubbles we keep at the store seem to stay inflated all day and deflate and prouduce feeding tenticles at night, any ideas why mine is acting this way my No3 is a little high 15ppm eveything else including the rest of the corals are doing great

Default Inflation...a good thing? you tell me!

Hi John
I have a Frogspawn that was like that. I considered several of the usual things, like water parameters, lighting, being touched inappropriately (and no silver glove either ).
Eventually I moved it to a lower flow area where it could pick on a candycane. ..it seems happy now. I don't think it was just flow intensity, but what parts are hit and from where, seem to matter.
Chemical inhibition and/or tissue stress from flow seems to be the reason here, maybe your Bubble could use a different office window too?

John,

I have a branching bubble with four heads. I've found them to inflate and deflate throughtout the day. No worries.

They especially like to deflate and excrete brown stuff after feeding.

I found that its does take some time for it to adjust to the new tank and didn't fully inflatef for some time.

They don't like high nitrates and high water flow. I was slow to react and lost one the heads. Reposition the powerhead, did a few water changes and left the bubble in the same place. Seems OK now.

Peter
