Default Skimmer

Well I have the new skimmer up and running... Looks great! I am a little short on room, so I have to get someting built for auto top off... any suggestions?

The skimmer looks awesome.. not sure on how it is working yet... I will wait until morning to give it a rating!

Thanks ro dez and harvey for the u-tube idea, its working amazingly!

I would love to post pictures, but the boyfriend says the craftmanship was done quickly not nicely, so I am not permitted :P He is already talking about building me a fish room! I think I may have an addict on my hands *cheer*

Talk to Harvey about the Auto-Top-Off.
He has been making a number of them lately...

I am looking at making a shelf in my stand that will hold a two or three gallon container and just use air tubing or something like it for the water to get in to my sump.

Run it straight off the r/0 unit from the basement to a float valve.

No room required, and hook it to a solenoid just in case.

My 180 wasn't basement plumbed at all but my top off came from the basement with a 1/4" hole in the floor of my closet.

Des

PS, are you back yet?

Default Auto top off

Hooked up my auto top off last night and it works great. Directly from my ro unit to a float valve in my sump. Still need a solenoid though. I drilled through the kitchen cabinet and through the apartment wall . Lol, I then ran it along the wall to the tank.

Hey Des do you know where I can get a solenoid?
