![]() My RBTA just split the other day. Should I continue feeding the offspring with shrimp as I have with the mother or does it need some time to recoup before I start feeding it.

![]() Neither clone can eat after a split. They split at the mouth so it'll take some time to heal. I never feed my anemone directly anyways. They just eat Ocean Nutrition flakes that sink when I feed my fish. In other words, my anemones don't eat a lot. But they still grow like weed.

![]() That's interesting Sam. I have followed Tony's advice, and feed mine once a week with a chunk of frozen Krill. Maybe I should not bother

![]() So how long approximately should I wait? Will they heal in a week? A Month?

![]() Hey Dan,
In about 2 weeks (maybe slightly less...leaky memory) the mouth will reform into a full circle from the half mouth each daughter clone has....at this point I return to normal feeding. FYI ...my clown feeds her rBTA and I give it some krill or mysis once a week.
