Thoughts have been kicked around for a long time about something locally here in Vancouver, we just need some one to take charge and lead us lazy people [img]images/smiles/icon_smile.gif[/img] Here is a link to a page with names of many local reefers that would be interested in one. Any leaders out there?

Hello Scott,

Has anyone on your list contacted you with ideas? Issues like:
1) would it be registered with the provincial government?
2) is it a regular meeting type, or meet on line type?
3) does it have a function such as a site with volunteers supporting other members? arranging for order pooling, etc?

um....

Is anyone involved with the Vancouver aquarium? We could try to meet there, or at least have someone there involved.

Hello ruck'n'reefer,

Yeah. I always wanted to see the backstage of the system running at the Vancouver aquarium. Gotta wonder how they keep all thier livestock going.

If you guys are going to the aquarium, I think we can get a group pass. Or if we are going as a club, maybe special prices of some sort. Oh well, let's see what happens.

I hate to arrange things these days as I'm kinda permanently glued to my computer programming.

I know that there is/was a FW club that met at the Van Aquarium once a month. I will try to contact someone at the Aq.on Monday. Maybe we can meet there and get to see the insides for free.

or maybe we can have it a little more centralized depending on where most of the members live. Maybe surrey or burnaby etc.
