Bypass the controller on a DC pump?

Well, one of my DC10000 pumps is failing. Luckily it's the one feeding the frag tank/fuge and not the display.

I think it's the controller, but i'm unsure. It may be the pump as well. Every time I disconnect power to it and then re-start it, it works for about 2 minutes, then stops. Controller shows full power bars.

So is there a way that I can bypass the controller and just have it full speed all the time? I don't use feed mode or the flow control on this pump. It stays on all full power all the time.

Sounds like the controller to me too. I have one for my DC12000 that's packed it in but I haven't had a chance to open 'er up and play with it...

When my speedwave pump did exactly the same thing as you have described, it ended up being the power supply. Can you switch it out with another one?

I've got a spare Jebao DC12000 controller if you need one.

Curios about this as well. My DC-10000 controller has also packed it in. I'm running a smaller emergency pump while I try to sort it out.

I'd buy a new controller if I could, but no joy from RLSS, the distributor.

Im actually using an aftermarket power supply at the moment. It powers both of the pumps. How can I test the power supply? I do have a volt meter.

If it's the little DC jack style the outside sleeve is the negative lead and inside is positive. Not sure what the output from the adapter is, 12, 24V? Adjust the multimeter to the range that is closest to that, plug it in and measure if it's outputting anything.

Can you switch the controller to the other pump to test it? If the power supply powers the other pump then that's not the issue, so pump or controller. Switching controller will narrow it down between the two.

Well, im getting constant readings from the power supply, and after the controller, so im confident its the pump itself. Switched my known good pump to power supply and controller in question, and it worked fine. New pump it is!

Does anyone have a pump body that they dont use due to controller/power supply failure?
