![]() NO it's not my Rio 2500, It is my 25G refugium, it started to leak a bit yesterday but got worse tonight to a point I had no choice but to take it down totally    .
Thank god I did a bit of waterproofing to my stand other wise it would be destroyed too!!!! All the life in the mud bed are gone, have to restart over and need new tank $$$$$ argh  Ok..ok enough complaining...here is a question: would I still be able to use the mud I had cuz it smells like rotten eggs when I scooped it out of my leaking refug. Or I have to clean it first???but it would be hard to rinse da mud, any suggestions????or I should just go w/o any mud/sand for my refug. |

![]() Hi,
Hmm...that has happen to me before. Sorry about your loss. Since no extra contaiminants entered the system (like parts and fluids from Rio or copper), then the mud should be fine. If you disturbed the sandbed, then part of the sandbed will die. So, you'll need to recycle the sandbed when you move it to another tank. Hope that helps. - Victor.
